Bio of Founder
Prior to founding R. L. Hensler & Associates, Dr. Hensler was R&D Director for Breed Technologies, a pioneer in the development of airbag safety systems in vehicles. His range of responsibilities at Breed encompassed software development, new product development, and the re-engineering of competitors' products. Typical products evaluated included micromachined devices, fluid dynamic systems, and sensors of all types. His expertise on these topics resulted in requests to serve as an expert witness in several product liability and patent infringement cases.
Dr. Hensler served in various project management positions with the former Ebasco Services, a global engineering firm that focused on energy-related projects. His experience at Ebasco included systems integration management assignments on such prestigious projects as the design of Princeton University's Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor. Other assignments involved the design of a superconducting energy storage device, a magnetic power conversion device for space satellites, and a megawatt size solar energy project. Clients included Exxon, the Saudi Arabian Science Centre, and the Department of Defense.
Dr. Hensler has also assisted startup companies in developing business plans, writing patents, and preparing proposals for prospective customers, such as private sector and government agencies. He previously served as the Director of Marketing and Business Development for a startup company involved in water filtration and the cleaning of invasive medical devices. Other activities have included marketing and technical studies for the financial community, and patent research projects for various entities. In addition, Dr. Hensler has a publication list that spans a wide spectrum of topics ranging from satellite power to artificial intelligence.
Dr. Hensler has a Ph.D. in physics from Rutgers University.
